The Simrit Group of Freudenberg-NOK  guarantees that any product of its manufacture, which upon examination is found by a Freudenberg-NOK  representative to be defective either in workmanship or material whereby it is not suitable under proper usage and service for the purpose for which it was designed will be replaced free of charge.  This shall be the maximum liability of Freudenberg-NOK for all claims of tort, contract or otherwise.  All warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are without authority from Freudenberg-NOK and are hereby disclaimed by it.

 

GENERAL GUIDELINES

 

The data presented here is to provide a guideline for selection of a standard seal for a general purpose application.  The user needs to be aware that many seal design configurations exist to meet specific requirements.  Deviation from the standard limitations provided here should be considered as an indication to explore the possibility of using alternative designs (contact Freudenberg-NOK for assistance).

  1. Determine the general category the seal application falls within.
  2. Determine if operating conditions exceed the design limits.

  3. Select appropriate lip, case and spring material. Selection is based on temperature of application, fluid and environment to be sealed and excluded.
  4. Review bore and shaft configurations to ensure compatibility with seal.
